Lasombra Merits & Flaws:
Our pleasures are pains...
Lasombra history is rich and varied but there are certain ties that seem to manifest consistently enough through the bloodline regardless of the personal preference of the individual vampire. The ties to the sea are strong. The ties to darkness are stronger.

MERITS

Weather Sense (1pt. mental merit)
Due to your ancient seafaring ties you can almost instinctually sense the arrival of bad weather. A static mental challenge is all that is required to gain advance warning of bad weather.

Controllable Night Sight (2pt. supernatural merit)
You have the ability to invert the effects of light and darkness at will. Spend one turn to turn Night Sight on or off (spend an additional turn for every wound level that you are down if applicable) While Night Sight is on areas of darkness appear as well lit areas that are easy to see into. At the same time however light of greater than a 100 watt bulb turns into a realm of darkness. Darkness penalties now apply to areas that are well lit. Unless otherwise noted Obtenebration areas created by other vampires appear as beacons of bright and blinding light should you attempt to peer into them.

Pelagic Harmony (3pt. mental merit)
Being close to the sea gives you a sense of harmony and self-control above the norm. You are considered +1 on all willpower tests when on or within sight of the sea.

FLAWS

Poseidons Call (1pt. mental flaw)
Your self control varies with the weather. In calm weather you receive a +1 trait on all virtue tests to resist frenzy but should the weather turn foul you instead gain a -1 for rough seas/thunderstorms and a -2 during hurricanes.

Uncontrollable Night Sight(2pt. Supernatural Flaw)
Light and Dark are permanently inverted with you. Pitch black is brightly and uniformly lit to you where a bright room seems to be the essence of darkness itself.

Pelagic Compulsion(2pt. mental flaw)
You become increasingly agitated when on land. You suffer a -1 trait penalty on willpower tests when you've been away from the sea for 24 hours or more.

Deaths Reflection (3pt. supernatural flaw)
You cast a reflection as normally which would seem to cancel out the clans flaw. Unfortunately for you your reflection appears as it would if you we merely a corpse. In other words if you are a vampire of any age at all your reflection would appear as a walking skeleton.
